About Finishing

Category:

In today’s’ world we are faced daily with challenges of life.  Many times people set out with good intentions but do no find the strength and courage to stay the distance to the finishing line.

We are all faced with challenges on a daily basis with varying degrees of severity. Generally life is not a ‘rose garden’ these days. So many

find themselves climbing rugged mountains and steeps , going through deep valleys, through fire and flood or just the chaos of everyday life.  At these times we must keep the end in view.

“You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs, but one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after the one that gold externally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else about it, and then missing out myself.”  ( Corinthians 9:24 to 27 The Message)

I love these verses as they speak about, planning, training, preparing physically and mentally, actually not only intending to, but having the courage to FINISH!

In this  post  I will share truths I have learned along the road and in everyday life in good and bad times, chaos and joy.

Finishing line
