I am with you (from the Passion)

I Hear His Whisper…
“I have seen you overcome the pain of your past.”

I have watched and you sought after Me and cried out to Me. You have believed in spite of human understanding and in spite of what surrounds you. Now you are resting in the secure shadow of Almighty, and I am pleased. Faith has won your battle and brought you victory. Yet before you today is a challenge to your faith. Never doubt Me, but move forward and watch Me open new doors for you. I will never leave you nor will I ever fail you when you come in faith to Me.

Continue in the path of peace and let the day bring you more revelation of My strength. Like a gentle rain, the promises over your life will be fulfilled and your prayers will be answered. Watch what I do in the next season of your life to show you My power. I will work in the hearts of those you love, and you will witness My greater love for them. Believe Me today as I give you My heart and My promises. I will never fail you, and those who lean their hearts into Mine will never be disappointed.
Psalm 37:3-5 The Passion Translation

Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in His eyes.
Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure,
feasting on His faithfulness.
If you make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life,
He will provide for you what you desire the most!
Give God the right to direct your life,
and as you trust Him along the way
you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly!

Who is Spinning Your Web?

Above: An amazing rare and intricate web near our Dam on a dewy morning

One evening I watched a small spider swinging in the breeze out of the huge old fig tree at the bottom my garden. Then it just landed on another tree with its web attached.  From there it climbed back up its thread to the first point and fastened again, and dropped again to the other tree. This process continued while it finished the main spokes of his web. It climbed to the middle, and started completing its web by attaching radius connections. These little insects are quite amazing to watch. Just one single thread and the risk of launching from a branch, forms the basis of this intricate web.

I was reminded of my childhood days and riding on horseback through some scrub country after cattle. Inevitably there were many spider webs as they easily string their webs between the scrub trees. I hated the sticky webs of the big cross stick spiders, as they clung to skin. I would grab that web off my face hoping there wasn’t a spider. I realise from a little study that the spider would intuitively know not to come when something big ran into its web. I still would not hang round to find out!

The actual completion of the web is far more intricate and clever than what appears to the naked eye. The spider easily grips the thin threads with special serrated claws, a smooth hook and a series of barbed hairs on the end of its legs. Then it combs the threads over the tiny hairs located in his hind legs to give them electrostatic charge. The spider does not coat the frame and radius threads with sticky material until completing its structure. Cleverly the spider can then use the non-sticky radius threads, for movement round the web, and a sticky spiral for catching bugs. Then the spider sits still and monitors the radius threads for vibrations of an insect getting caught. These web spinning spiders have an innate ability to tell the difference between vibrations from an insect prey and vibrations from other sources such as leaves, twigs falling into the web. Some species are so clever they can distinguish the characteristic vibrations of a dangerous insect such as a wasp.

The next morning I checked on the spider web. It was just glittering with dew like diamonds, the early morning sun turning it into such beauty, and the little spider had caught himself a couple of meals. I feel so privileged to watch the magnificent work of God’s creation and the perfection of this insect. And what a lesson it is to us to watch a spider build his business in such a way. You see the amazing web provides food and a place to live. They are truly entrepreneurial little insects. This amazing blueprint design is in the DNA of the spider.

So ingenious and amazing is the work of web building spiders that scientists are now learning from these techniques and methods.  The majority of spider threads are on the micrometer scale, the ability to produce nano-scale fibres has intrigued scientists who are studying the composition of the special silk used by the spiders in construction. It is hoped these studies will assist them in the production of nano-scale filaments which could help scientists develop stronger and more versatile fibres.

Today, take some time to think about this little spider. It has an assignment, its hope of the future. With abandon, it launches from the branch not knowing if it will be taken by a bird, caught up by a gust of wind, or miss its landing spot. Perhaps you have the challenge of a new business venture, a new vocation, a special assignment, and afraid to move forward, to take that step and launch out. Nothing will be gained till you venture forward, take the first step, make that phone call. So, who is spinning your web, preparing blue print? We have the blue   print, the DNA from heaven, for an assignment from God, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, the right breeze to carry us forward. Yet so often we struggle and stay firmly on safe ground, our limb of safety, refusing to launch into the unknown. Are you willing to swing out into His atmosphere and find you are firmly attached to Him and he will never let you go?  You will not fall into nothingness but right into that place He has called you to.

There is risk, but no risk that God will turn up. “For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, that you do not strike your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:12. Note also Proverbs 4:12.  Look to the spider and launch out today.

Hope for Kenyan Girls

A Vision to bring Hope for the Future to Kenyan Girls

Pastor Daniel Ashanda Ndamilwa   is  Pastor of the Church below  in Matunda , Kenya where many come to worship the Lord. Pictures below: The Church and Winnie who is Pastor Daniels wife  and mother of their 6 children .

Africa is a vast country with vast needs. One Pastor is planning to make a difference in the life of his Community through the training of young Women to become tailors and so earn a worthwhile income and be leaders in their communities.

Hope for young women in Kenya

The  vision:  the Vision and hope is to Training and supporting  teenage girls (14 to 17 years)  with skills to help the sustain themselves in life. This will open a door of hope for these young women and change the future as they become leaders in their homes and community.

NEED: These girls are abused easily because of idleness and lack of basic needs but when they have skills, they can employ themselves or get employed and earn a living. While they are being trained with us, we would counsel them to avoid early marriages, prostitution that is causing many to die at an early age. Lack of basic needs is one of the major ways used by men who are stable financially especially when they are employed as house maids. This is a Vision and a long term hope of making a real difference.

  • Pastor Daniel is also involved in High School Ministry where the Schools are very open to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Also attends primary school Graduation  to pray and talk with the children.
    •  High School youth after being taught about Christianity.

Amazing Love

Recently I have become freshly and more intensely aware of God’s Amazing Love for me.

His Love goes way beyond my understanding and draws me ever closer to His heart.

His Amazing Love  brings healing and wholeness and in each fresh new day He awakens me to

more of His Presence … and His Amazing Love

.

Some time ago I read this quote and somehow it resonated with in me, but what does it really mean?

“Work like you don’t need the money

Dance like nobody’s watching and

Love like you’ve never been hurt”

*Who would work like they didn’t need the money?  Could it be those motivated by LOVE? The love of the Bridegroom, the self-sacrificial love of Heaven.

*Who would dance like nobody’s watching?  Could it be those who are so in Love with the Beloved Bridegroom that they are totally uninhibited?

Ever worshiped the Beloved, alone, no music except the music of your heart, no one else to impress.  Just you and your Beloved Bridegroom?

* How can we love like we’ve never been hurt?  This is after all, a hurting world.  Is there anyone out there who has never been hurt?

Only Jesus can give this kind of love for He, our beloved Bridegroom, left the glory of Heaven, took all the hurt, the abuse, the rejection that anyone of us could ever feel and NAILED it to the tree.

Yes, we can love like we’ve never been hurt BUT only when we have been forgiven, only when our pain is healed, and the marvelous Grace of God flows out into the world through us …… yes it’s Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saves a wretch like me!! He is my Hope.

God’s amazing Grace available to all and anyone who would come to Him at the foot of the Cross.

Hope for Orphans Centre.

Hope for orphans centre in Kenya Africa has a God’s word thirst and lacking community around it. A community with many challenges including the orphans and widows.

To help address the challenge facing orphans it started the Hope for Orphans Centre Organ.

It has since enrolled and taken care of orphans in scheme that is enrolling and taking up orphans in to the projects home.

PROJECT REVIEW INTRODUCTION:

In the last decade Kenya as a community has faced HIV and AIDS related challenges and deaths among most of its population.

Kenya has the third highest number of HIV/AIDS orphans in the world, estimated at 890,000. Kenya has a shockingly large number of HIV/AIDS victims. Many mothers and fathers leave their young ones with neighbors or grandparents. This causes a heavy burden on the caretakers because of their limited ability to care for an additional child. More than 1000 people die daily due to HIV/AIDS in Kenya, this doesn’t include the number of deaths causes by Malaria, accidents and other diseases. Statistically, the number of orphans is growing, in Kenya, and Africa as a whole. Kenya has 0.16% of these orphans: about 1 million orphans living either in the streets, with the villagers, or with relatives. More than 3.8 million people in Kenya are living with HIV/AIDS and as the disease progresses, are likely to leave more than 2 million orphaned children. As this epidemic increase, there will be innumerable orphans wandering the streets in Kenya. These destitute children are found in villages and on city streets.

Several things can happen to children when their parents die from HIV and AIDS –related causes. It is very common, in many Kenyan streets and villages, to find these destitute children along the highways and on the street corners desperately begging for a shilling. Some live at the municipal town garbage bins where they scavenge for any remains of scraps of food. Others will be found sniffing glue, as a way to kill hunger pains. Many of the young girls start prostitution at a very early age, as young as 5 years old, to seek a living. Other street children turn into pick-pockets and thieves.

HOPE FOR ORPHANS CENTRE:

Is a Christian belief founded organization? It seeks to support the orphans in meeting the very basic human needs and educational requirements.

These activity goals are accomplished through trainings, supporting care for orphans as fees payment and Spiritual needs. The project is undertaken to improve the economic social and Spiritual lives within the community and country.

VISION OF HOPE FOR ORPHANS CENTRE

To provide all round care, encompassing Spiritual, health, physical and emotional care for orphans from the community around and beyond, be a leading education and sustainable development service provider to the orphan child in the view of:

  1. Man has a need to live a healthy life.
  2. Man has a need to have shelter, food, education, medication and clothing.
  3. Man has a need to have a good relationship with God and others in the community.

HOPE FOR ORPHANS CENTRE MISSION

To guide and support care for orphans in our community by promotion of:  Social care, health care education and necessities-to compound basic human needs and beyond.

PROCESS.

Hope for orphans Centre as a fellowship project doesn’t have all the orphans reside in the home and therefore some of the orphans are placed under the caretakers who are some church members. In this scheme an orphan is identified and enrolled with Hope for Orphans Centre. The orphan then resides with caretakers alongside the caretakers’ family. Since there is an added cost and strain on available resources on taking up an extra child, the caretaker is allocated support and relief by Hope for Orphans Centre.

Currently Hope for Orphans Centre is supporting the care for 17orphans aged 5-13 years old.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

Our region has suffered in the ever increasing orphans challenge as many other parts of Kenya.

This has not only affected individual families but also the entire community at large.

This has led to the Hope for Orphans Centre Project team to address the challenge. The team has projected to solicit for support from well-wishers and donors.

The challenges at hand include:

  1. Malnutrition due to shortage of food for the orphans.
  2. Luck of clothing and shoes.
  3. Limited education and educational supply among the orphans.
  4. Limited residential facilities.

OBJECTIVES OF HOPE FOR ORPHANS CENTRE

  1. To provide social care for the orphans.
  2. To improve lives by helping providing food to the orphans.
  3. To provide quality education to orphans of school joining age, and to educate those who never got a chance to join school before.
  4. To provide for and ensure security and guidance to vulnerable orphans.
  5. To promote awareness of the killer diseases such as malaria, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS among the community members on how to prevent and avoid them.
  6. To educate caretakers of already HIV/AIDS infected or affected orphans on better ways to care for them.
  7. To help all orphans heal from traumatic pain caused by the death of their parents and the suffering they have passed through.
  8. To promote orphan girl guidance about life skills to avoid STDs, premarital sexual relationships, earlier marriages and earlier pregnancies, effects of abortion which could put them at risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS just as parent could do to his or her child.
  9. To promote Godly moral ethics and integrity among the orphans and their caretakers through workshops, seminars and church sessions.
  10. To recruit and train staff who will help in the work to see that the vision is fulfilled.
  11. To contribute to the community by encouraging/promotion of the environment management through nursery bed management, tree planting, water and soil conservation within the community.
  12. To address and provide timely solution to any such communal challenges as hunger disease outbreak any many more.

MY Story continues

Hope springs forth!

Jeremiah 31:3New International Version (NIV)

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Psalm 147:11 New International Version (NIV) “ the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”

I was invited to attend a program called ‘Search for Significance’ at our Church. God touched my life in a mighty way. On the last night of the program, I felt a pain in my heart like someone had stabbed me and was turning the blade. I rushed outside to the safety of my car. “Father I can’t take any more, I’ve been hurt once so much, would you even hurt me again?” Through weeping and sobbing from deep inside I cried out, “Please heal me, Lord.”

My car seemed filled with the Presence of God, like liquid Love so powerful, so gentle so warm, the tears stopped and I felt like I was being bathed in His wonderful Presence and Love. The pain was gone – and I was free! I wanted to shout out to every woman who’d walked this pathway, “You can be healed! You can be free!” That was the beginning of a new journey for me.

Since then my heart has ached and longed to touch so many men and women with this incredible love that is a balm on their lives. I want see children and teens who have been abused freed from the pain and shame that so often keeps them bound. There is healing, wonderful healing and freedom in Jesus. He never intended that we should carry these hurts that so define our lives. Until we are healed, we reflect our pain back on all around us; we take offense, and hurt others.

Do I remember those painful incidents of my youth? Yes, but without the pain; they are just scars and shadows of the past, they can no longer inflict wounds. It was then that God reminded me He would cause my life to be a door of hope for many. My passion is to share and touch many lives with the Love and Healing that has comes to me through my Door of Hope, Jesus.

God lead me to some very special Scriptures that brought such blessing and comfort into my life. His Word is the strength of our lives. So He brought me from the wilderness of my loss and pain “leaning on my beloved’. Yes I learned to learn on and trust Him and His Word fully.

“Behold, I have indelibly printed (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of my hands; your walls are continually before me” (Isaiah 49:16 Amplified Bible)

SONG OF SOLOMON 8 :5 (Amplified Bible) “Who is this coming up from the wilderness Leaning upon her beloved?” Some versions say ‘desert’.

As a teen, I saw God through the eyes of an abused child, expecting punishment and retribution, but through His amazing Love and Grace, He opened a door of Hope to me. I had seen a father figure (the person who raped me was old enough to be my father) as someone who hurt and wounded me and stole my childhood. God offered me love and a promise to never leave me alone. Father God  lead me to HOPE  I hungered for more of Jesus. I had met my Daddy God and later on I was privileged to meet with one of those who had hurt me so much and there I forgave him and released him to find forgiveness. Later he passed on knowing he was going to his eternal Lord. He had found forgiveness.

Through my blogs and newsletter I will share more of my life and in particular, the healing that Jesus has promised for the broken hearted the wounded, and the hurting. I hope you too will keep in touch through this page and  find the Hope that comes from our eternal Father God through Jesus on the Cross of Calvary.

FOR OUR CHILDREN ….. THERE IS A GREATER CAUSE!

Our Nation is in a season of turmoil.  A time when the humanistic agenda is being promoted by many leaders who we thought could be trusted.  It is an attempt to de-value marriage and introduce any number of attacks against the family and particularly the children of our Nation.   Nehemiah in his day faced a strong attempt by the enemy, not dis-similar to what Australia faces at this time (and many placed around the world)  We need to take courage from Nehemiah’s words:

Nehemiah 4:

  • Verses 1-3 The enemy finds that Israel (Christians of today) are clearing out heaps of ‘rubbish’ ready to build a wall to stem, or keep back the rubbish. The enemy was angry and in a great rage and ridiculing.
  • Verse 4 Nehemiah prays ‘hear our prayers for we are despised, turn their taunt upon their own head. “Prayer has been called over the nation and we have seen a response about the No add. (But they will come back stronger as did the enemy in Nehemiah’s day)
  • Verse 6 and 7, 8. “So we built the wall and the breeches were being closed, …. Result ‘they (the enemy) were VERY angry and plotted more”.
  • Nehemiah kept praying because the ‘burden-bearers’ were weakening. In this battle, we must pray, pray, pray and ‘hold the hands of the workers & for the ‘front-liners’.
  • Nehemiah set up support teams, who were armed men to protect the workers. (verses 12, 13) The whole families were engaged in this.
  • Verse 14 Nehemiah speaks an encouraging word to his people. Imprint the Lord on your minds (keep focused totally on the Lord, WORSHIP) Take courage from this as this is the centre and whole purpose: ‘fight for your brethren, your sons and your daughters, and your homes.  We are fighting for our Nations families.
  • THERE IS A GREATER CAUSE AT STAKE HERE. When David was called on to fight Goliath, it wasn’t because   David was a great marksman, or warrior, but as David said ‘this uncircumcised Philistine has defied the living God. ‘This godless movement in Australia is defying the living God in our Nation and above all, that is the cause we stand against.
  • Verse 15 The enemy found that God had frustrated their purpose and Nehemiah went back to work.
  • God the Spirit has called many in this Nation to stand now Chapter 6:1 to 4 we find that when the work was getting towards completion, the enemy came again to ‘side track’ this CAUSE. Nehemiah refused to pay attention to their demands and kept the work going: “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.’ He sent someone else to respond to the enemy.  Nehemiah refused to be distracted by words of the enemy.
  • To the end of chapter 6 We find that eventually the enemy SAW THAT THIS WORK WAS DONE BY OUR GOD. Oh, glory to God! this work is for His glory, ALONE.  Nehemiah defended vehemently for the whole families and so must we.

We don’t have to yield to this onslaught from the enemy, he comes to steal the little ones from our homes, as a fox steals chicken and small animals, while the parents are procuring food. Parents what is happening in your home when you are not paying attention? What are their eyes viewing and their ears hearing?? Satan comes to steal the minds of our adolescent children the same way.

DO WE HAVE THAT CAUSE BURNING IN YOUR HEARTS?? ARE WE PREPARED TO TAKE BACK THE STOLEN GROUND AND SEE THOUSANDS COME TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD????

Read the book “AND There Came A Lion” by Beryl Spencer  (On this website) Learn how to prepare for the battle for the hears of our children.

Crumbs from under the Table

I Connect: I watched as the Lorikeets dropped bits of their breakfast to the Guinea Fowl and our pet duck waiting below their feeder for leftovers
As I watch, I am reminded of a story in the Bible. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs from under the Master table”. Matthew 15:22-28 I know this story and am amazed at the courage, faith and determination of this woman to receive healing for her daughter.
A Canaanite woman came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. This woman was desperate over the hopelessness of her daughter’s condition: ‘whatever it takes Lord. ‘
The expression “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the Master’s table” comes from OT times when the Orientals used their fingers at the table. They then cleaned their fingers by rubbing them with pieces of bread. These pieces (crumbs) were either thrown out the window or dropped on the floor, under the masters table. These ‘crumbs under the table’ speak of something of no value to be thrown away as refuse!

There is much to learn from these words. Here are 2 thoughts:
1. This was a Canaanite woman, not highly regarded in this region. She was from a race of idolatrous people known in Sodom and Gomorrah for their wicked behaviour. She, none the less, must have heard and observed Jesus and knew He was the only hope for her little girl. It took real courage to go beyond her social status, racism and seek Jesus for healing.

2. Jesus words to the Canaanite woman were very harsh. Many of us would be deeply offended and turn away. Not this woman, she appears to be deaf to anything but an answer of healing. If need be, she would humble herself and take the leftovers from the Master’s table. She would NOT give up. She was sure that even ‘crumbs” from Jesus would be more than enough for her child. Jesus replied: “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment

What an amazing, challenging story. I question my own heart; would I be willing to humble myself to this degree? How deep are my desires and willingness to humble myself before Him? It may be simply be that refusing to take offense from another, forgiving things we think are un-forgivable, showing love to someone ‘un-lovable, & choosing to bow to God’s ways. It’s a matter of keeping our hearts right before God at any cost. It’s about de-throning self as this woman did and bowing to the Master.
Today as I feed the birds, the Spirit reminds me that Jesus took my place on the Cross of Calvary. He gave His all so I can be forgiven and live. I don’t’ have to survive on “crumbs”, stale bread. Through the Cross, I am seated at His Table, the Table of His Word and a feast is available to me.
I challenge each of us: Will we come boldly but with humble hearts and feast at His Table.
I trust you too will be blessed as you feed, not just on crumbs but a full course of food of His Word from His table and don’t forget to invite the Holy Spirit to make His Word alive to you.
Do you need healing today? The little girl was healed “at His Word”
